Honda CR-V

There are many appealing qualities in a compact SUV. They offer more space than sedans without the bulk of a full-size SUV; most are safer than smaller cars; and let’s be honest, they are pretty darn pleasing to the eyes. The 2016 Honda CR-V offers all of these qualities and brings much more to the table with exceptional fuel economy, appealing tech and safety features, and plenty of functionality. For a closer look at the 2016 Honda CR-V, continue reading.

Strong usability. A key strength to the 2016 CR-V is its everyday usability. This greatly shows in its interior design. Doors are wide, which allows for easy accessibility and space is abundant whether in front or back. Drivers will love that their seat is powered so adjustments are made easy, and the sense of openness due to the CR-V’s superior visibility is easily another perk drivers will greatly enjoy. Rear passengers get a taste of front-seat perks with seats that recline for increased comfort and support.

Shop or travel a lot? The CR-V is an excellent companion for both. Depending on which model you choose, you’ll be awarded with a powered liftgate so loading cargo items is much easier. The low load floor and overall boxy exterior shape are a real bonus, too, because it allows for easier loading, especially of larger or awkwardly-shaped items.

Rear seat backs are auto-folding, which adds a bit of originality to the CR-V. (Plus it’s clever.) Hit the switch, and as they unfold, watch cargo capacity expand to a huge 70.9 cubic feet - a top figure in the compact SUV class.

Increased safety with features. For those that enjoy tech gadgets and wouldn’t mind being safer behind the wheel, the 2016 CR-V will please. Aside from all of the typical standard safety content - antilock brakes, stability and traction control, airbags and rear view camera - the CR-V also includes many beneficial safety systems. It comes with Honda’s LaneWatch blind-spot monitoring system that includes a camera of its own that displays passenger-side blind-spot activity via a seven-inch touchscreen. Depending on model, you will also get a lane-departure warning system and forward-collision warning and mitigation system that is able to distinguish between vehicles and pedestrians and warn the driver accordingly; it also includes automatic braking intervention in order to reduce the severity of a collision.

Another notable tidbit about the CR-V is its impressive stop time. From 60 mph, the 2016 CR-V stopped in just 119 feet - a shorter-than-average distance or its class.

2016-honda-odyssey

Honda Odyssey

Ask yourself this: do you want to be the parent who drives the dreaded, outdated minivan? (is that ôwood panelling?!) or do you want to be the parent who drives the best and most alluring minivan on the market? Let’s just say (and hope) that you chose question number two. If so, the 2016 Honda Odyssey is for you. The Honda Odyssey has been one of the best minivans on the market for some time - and it continues its reign right into the 2016 lineup year. So what makes the Odyssey so great? Continue reading to find out.

Real space. Sedans can claim to be roomy. SUVs can claim to be spacious. But, is there really any question that a minivan would outmeasure both of these vehicles in terms of space? The Odyssey can hold the average load of passengers and cargo - and then some! It is designed with three rows that ensure enough space and comfort for those in front all the way to those in the way back. The third row, while often a serious downfall for many SUVs because it can only truly fit small children, the Odyssey does the minivan title right with a third row that’s adult friendly.

Cargo space is a key strength for the Odyssey. There’s a generous 38.4 cubic feet of space behind the third row, and when this row is stowed this measurement jumps to 93.1 cubes. Remove second-row seats for an explosive measurement of 148.5 cubic feet.

Practicality in features. Honda equipped the 2016 Odyssey with many clever features that show practicality is also one of its key strengths. It has a flip-up trash bag holder that’s built into a removable center console so trash is never an issue no matter how many passengers are on board, and there is also a cooling compartment that makes traveling needs easier than ever because you won’t need to waste space toting along a cooler. All electronics, like touchscreens and controls, are truly user-friendly no matter how tech savvy you or your passengers are. To please kids (okay, adults too), the Odyssey’s top Touring Elite trim features a rear-seat entertainment system that can play two different sources at once. This trim also comes equipped with a built-in vacuum with 10-foot hose so no crumbs are left unfound.

Reliability in safety. A lot of passengers calls for a necessary increase in safety. The Odyssey adequately supplies it with reliable safety equipment and features, as well as top scores in crash testing. Safety features are definitely worth noting with content like a multi-angle rearview camera, Honda’s LaneWatch blind-spot camera system, and forward-collision and lane-departure warning systems.

2016-honda-pilot

Honda Pilot

For a few years, the Honda Pilot offered a lot of great qualities, but the overly boxy exterior didn’t quite match its personality. But, with the full redesign the Pilot shows off for 2016, it’s obvious that it makes a strong contender in the three-row crossover class. Here’s a closer look.

New improvements. For 2016, most of Honda’s attention went to refining the interior of the Pilot. While it always provided versatility and plenty of space, it now surrounds these qualities in a much more modern design. It now boasts increased leg- and headroom in the third row, so it’s not longer just a tight squeeze for little kids - all sizes are welcome.

The new Pilot also exhibits the smoothness of a luxury car due to many ride-enhancing qualities. Materials are improved and are now softer for increased appeal and comfort, there are newly-added acoustic materials that work well to eliminate road noise, it boasts a new structure that is much stiffer due to the use of more high-strength steel, and it is also now 250 pounds lighter than previous models.

Safety systems galore. Along with the tech craze of touchscreens, USB charging systems, and more, Honda made sure to follow this path into the world of high-tech safety systems. Depending on which model is chosen, the Pilot will come with Honda’s LaneWatch blind-spot camera, a blind-spot warning system with rear cross-traffic alerts, and front and rear parking sensors. There is also a Honda Sensing package that features a forward-collision warning and mitigation system that includes automatic braking, road departure intervention, and lane-departure warning and intervention systems.

Minivan-like versatility. The 2016 Pilot offers minivan-like versatility, which is an excellent strength for those in need of a vehicle of its full-size proportions. It’s large amount of cup holders, handy storage compartments, and don’t forget the mega amounts of space.

Second-row seats tilt and slide forward with an easy push of a button, which creates a useful pass through area to the third row. A clever and very handy feature of the Pilot is that the area located behind the third row houses a removable floor panel that allows for more storage space when all seats are in use. With seats stowed, total cargo capacity measures a truly competitive 83.9 cubic feet.

A jam-packed trim. The Pilot’s 2016 lineup offers jam-packed trims and either a second- or eight-passenger seating configuration. The all-new Elite trim jazzes up the Pilot’s lineup this year where it gleams at the very top. It includes 20-inch wheels, LED headlights, automatic high-beam headlight control, automatic windshield wipers, panoramic sunroof, and blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alerts. While the Elite can only be had with a seven-passenger seating configuration, Honda makes up for the loss of a seat with the addition of heated and ventilated front seats, heated second-row captain’s chairs, and a heated steering wheel.

Spoil your crew with the family-oriented 2016 Honda Pilot. To learn more, visit our dealership in Washington, PA.

Honda Civic

The Honda Civic has been a favorite of many for quite some time with top qualities like attractive looks, good fuel economy, and strong reliability. It’s not always easy to perfect perfection, but Honda has managed to do it for the current lineup year with the 2016 Civic. The Civic’s been reinvented for the new year, flashing daring new looks, turbocharged power, and an interior that boasts space and high-tech content. If you’re looking for a compact sedan, the 2016 Civic may just be for you.

New to 2016. There are lots of new improvements to be found in the 2016 Civic thanks to its full redesign. It gains alluringly edgy exterior styling, while the interior is more grown up than previous models with sleek touchscreen-based technology. Changes show up under the Civic’s hood, too, with a new turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine offered in upper models, while lower models get a new 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine. Both are powerful enough to increase driver engagement and also provide impressive fuel efficiency.

Safety ensured. With the large amount of bad drivers out there, it’s very important to have a car that provides you with the confidence that ensures you’re protected. The 2016 Civic is equipped with all of the standard and necessary safety gear like airbags all around, antilock disc brakes, stability and traction control, and rearview camera. It also comes with standard and optional features that further increase its safety. One is Honda’s LaneWatch camera system that enables a blind-spot view of the right side of the car. Another is the Honda Sensing safety package that equips the Civic with adaptive cruise control, lane-departure warning and intervention, and forward-collision alert with automatic emergency braking.

Above-average space. The Civic may hold a compact sedan label, but don’t let this cause you to question its proportions. The 2016 Civic is three inches longer and two inches wider than previous models; its wheelbase is longer too. This equals to more passenger space overall and more than enough room for those that are tall - a trait that’s not always easy to come by in compact sedans.

Cargo space has generously improved in the new Civic, too, featuring 15.1 cubic feet. This measurement is much more in scale with family sedans than compacts.

Step into the Civic EX-T. Whether you’re interested in a trim level that is base-level, midrange or upscale, the 2016 Civic delivers five to choose from. One of particular interest to many is the midrange EX-T. It offers turbocharged power, 17-inch alloy wheels, fog lights, rear spoiler, remote start, dual-zone automatic climate control and heated front seats. There is also a good combination of electronics with a seven-inch touchscreen interface with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, SMS voice-to-text functionality, and smartphone-app integration; it also includes app-based navigation. For some tunes there is an eight-speaker audio system with dual USB ports, plus satellite and HD radio.

The newest updates. While any improvements made to a car like the Accord is only adding perfection on top of excellence, there are several updates for 2016 that are worth noting. Front and rear passengers will enjoy more than enough room, and those in the backseat will be awarded by a combination of space and comfort that quickly shows why it’s one of the best backseats in this particular class.

One major bonus for driver’s of the 2016 Accord is that it offers never-ending outward visibility that makes it a synch to see out of at all angles. Even though being able to see while driving is probably the most important aspect when getting behind the wheel, it’s quite unbelievable how so many cars don’t provide adequate visibility.

On top of items typically found in any car, the EX takes things to a more upscale and convenient level.
