Honda CR-V

There are many reasons to love a full-size SUV, from passenger and cargo space to good versatility and increased safety. But what about compact SUVs? While full-size SUVs are great, those compact in size also pack quite a punch themselves. They also provide good cargo space, versatility and safety. And some even offer up to seven passenger seating. One compact SUV that features all of these qualities, plus even more, is the 2016 Honda CR-V. Here’s a look at what you’ll get with this must-have ride.

Everyday Usability: One of the top qualities of the 2016 CR-V is its everyday usability. This is shown via comfort and space. It features wide doors, which allows for easy maneuvers in and out. There is also good head and legroom for all passengers - front and back. The word ôcompact may make you question the actual amount of space in the CR-V, but don’t let the word fool you. Cargo space in the Cr-V is actually a vast 37.2 cubic feet. This measurement allows for most anything you might want to stick in the back, whether it’s groceries or bags for out-of-town travels. Rear seats in the CR-V also fold down via trunk-mounted levers, and when used, cargo capacity almost doubles.

Solid Safety: There’s a lot to note about the 2016 CR-V and all it has to offer in terms of safety equipment and features - a total list that’s quite lengthy. All models of the 2016 CR-V come with antilock brakes, stability and traction control, front-seat side airbags, side curtain airbags and rear view camera. What’s most impressive is the safety feature list. Depending on trim level, the CR-V will come equipped with Honda’s LaneWatch blind-spot monitoring system, which boasts its own camera with seven-inch touchscreen and displays passenger-seat blind-spot activity. The CR-V’s top Touring trim features even more with a lane-departure warning system and forward-collision and mitigation system that can alert the driver when vehicles and pedestrians are near. It can also apply automatic braking intervention in order to reduce the severity of a crash. Stopping gear is also excellent in the 2016 CR-V, so you won’t have to worry about that. In stop testing, the Cr-V came to a stop from 60 mph in just 119 feet - a shorter-than-average distance for its class.

Fully-Loaded Trims: The 2016 CR-V is available in five trim levels: LX, SE, EX, EX-L and Touring. And you won’t be disappointed by any of them. All are filled with full-power accessories, plenty of high-tech features and loads more.

The EX and EX-L are definitely two trims worth checking out. The EX features everything from automatic headlights, sunroof and keyless entry and ignition to heated front seats and six-speaker sound system. The EX-L offers all of this content, but it may intrigue you a bit more with further upscale items. It adds heated side mirrors, auto-dimming rearview mirror, dual-zone automatic climate control and leather upholstery. Technology has more upgrades, too, with a seven-speaker sound system and satellite radio.

Why choose a coupe? The answer lies in the 2016 Honda Accord coupe. But, first, here are a couple of perks to having a coupe.

  • Style: While style may fall into the subjective category, it’s hard to deny that coupes exude a sleeker and cleaner design than sedans. They look less like a family transport system, and instead, a much more dramatic and sporty appeal.
  • Bells and Whistles: Sedans may include everything one might want in terms of content an features, but coupe’s typically offer more. Coupe models usually provide a stronger engine and also extra items, especially in the category of technology. Both of these qualities make the coupe an above-average experience behind the wheel that can actually be deemed as fun.

If you feel a coupe is the right choice for you, you may find the 2016 Honda Accord coupe a nice choice. It offers exceptional ride quality, speed acceleration, powerful and efficient powertrains, plus lots of space, high-quality materials and loads of features. It also offers revamped appeal for the 2016 lineup year, showing off updated exterior styling, revised suspension tuning and new interior trim.

While interior space may typically be less in coupe’s, the 2016 Accord coupe is still generous in both passenger and cargo space. Head and legroom are sufficient and seats are comfortable. Compared to previous models, the 2016 is much quieter, with road and tire noise subdued for an overall more enjoyable ride quality.

Safety is a standout quality in the 2016 Accord coupe, which is why it must be mentioned. While both coupe and sedan body styles were tested in crash testing, the coupe beat the sedan with the highest marks possible across the board. This includes, overall protection, frontal-impact safety and side-impact safety. The coupe also scored big in testing by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety in areas, such as: moderate-overlap and small-overlap frontal-offset impact tests, as well as side-impact, roof-strength and whiplash protection tests. Honda Odyssey

So you have a large family. How do you tote everyone from place to place? The only real choices out there SUVs or minivans. But, which do you choose? There are several things to consider about both options, but if you are leaning toward a minivan, here are some perks to know that may make your decision easier.

Space: The main focus of the minivan design is space - for both passengers and cargo. For large families or even those that need extra space for carpool days, the minivan is a great choice. Most can fit over seven passengers, which beats most SUV competitors. Minivans also allow for excellent cargo space, which is ideal for vacations or even just shopping errands.

Safety: Compared to cars, minivans are built higher off the road. This means better visibility and the ability to better avoid debris that may be found on the road. This higher stance can even create higher confidence in drivers, which makes them drive better. All of these perks equal to greater safety for everyone on board.

One minivan that is worth checking out is the 2016 Honda Odyssey. This minivan has held its reign as one of the best minivans on the market for some time; the 2016 is no different. Fuel efficient is high, versatility is excellent and safety scores stand at the top.

In terms of space, you can’t find better than the Odyssey. Equipped with three rows, the amount of passenger room is impressive. While most vehicles with three rows provide a very cramped third row, the Odyssey squashes this problem with a second and third row that are above average in size; this is a definitely plus because no one gets gypped on head and legroom.

One feature worth noting can be found in the second-row seats. These seats are able to spread apart to create more shoulder room; they can also slide around in order to provide more third-row space.

Cargo space is excellent. With all seats in place, the Odyssey provides 38.4 cubic feet of cargo space behind third-row seats. The third row folds into the floor, which creates an even larger amount of storage room, measuring 93.1 cubic feet. With second and third-row seats removed/stowed, total cargo capacity reaches a huge 148.5 cubic feet.

The Odyssey houses many clever features that are designed to make life easier - and who can say no to that! To keep the interior clean, there’s a flip-up trash bag holder located inside the removable center console. There is even a cooling compartment to stash drinks - a definite perk for those with kids.

honda-pilot-2016

Honda Pilot

SUVS stand as one of the most popular choices on the automotive market - and it doesn’t seem as though they’ll being going out of style any time soon. One SUV that provides everything one needs is the 2016 Honda Pilot. While known for its big and blocky appearance, the Pilot has been fully redesigned for the 2016 lineup year. It now shows off a more traditional appearance that actually fits its personality and consumers much better. On top of that, the new Pilot also features a host of new improvements, from better storage and enhanced technology to increased sound-deadening features that make for a smoother, more luxurious ride.

If you’re trying to decide whether to opt for an SUV, here’s a look at the many perks SUVs, like the 2016 Honda Pilot, offer.

Extra Seating: If you have a large load of passengers, SUVs provide extra seating accommodations that regular cars just can’t. Many, like the Pilot, offer seating between seven and eight with the help of third-row seating. This is a great perk for those with large families or who require room for carpooling. Cars and trucks definitely can’t fit this many passengers, and vans aren’t always a fave due to their bulky appearance and handling. Opting for SUVs, like the Pilot, stand right in the middle for perfect styling and passenger accommodations.

Hauling Versatility: Another big perk about SUVs, including the Pilot, is the extra hauling capabilities they offer. Third-row seating not only helps tote more passengers, but it also means more room to haul cargo. Going out of town and even just going on errands for groceries is definitely made easy with the extra cargo space available. The 2016 Pilot features a removable floor panel behind the third row, which creates more storage space when all seats are in use.

Increased Safety: You may not have considered this fact, as most tend to overlook it, but SUVs are designed with increased safety in mind. The pilot, as well as other SUVs, are raised higher above ground than most cars. This means a lessened chance of damage because they can drive over debris or small objects that may be found on roadways.

Another feature of SUVs that you may not have considered to be a safety aid is the front grille. Grilles aren’t just for looks - even if they do provide it. Instead, grilles are actually designed to equip SUVs with extra protection. They can catch debris and other objects so they don’t come in contact with the front of the vehicle. Grilles can handle a lot of force thrown at it, too, which enables it to dissipate the force before it does any damage to the vehicle or passengers on board.
