For a Used Vehicle, the Used Honda Civic Has it All

Honda Civic

Reliable. Good fuel economy. Comfortable, well-built interior. The Honda Civic offers all of these car must-haves - plus plenty more! It comes in sedan or coupe body styles and has five trim levels full of top-notch features and equipment. Here’s a closer look at what you’ll get with this great used car.

DX trim: The DX is the Civic’s entry-level trim and includes all of the basics, like 15-inch steel wheels, power windows, height-adjustable driver seat, and tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel. While the DX does not come with a stereo, chances are you’ll find it with the optional Value package that equips it with a four-speaker CD/MP3 audio system and auxiliary audio jack. This package also provides the DX air conditioning.

LX: The LX tacks on many worthwhile features to the Civic that makes it a bit more appealing than the base DX. It gains keyless entry, cruise control, and full power accessories. Rear seats fold down and there is also a console with sliding armrest for added comfort. Wheels are 16-inch steel.

LX-S: The Civic LX-S trim comes with some sport features on top of lower trim equipment. It has alloy wheels, chrome exhaust outlet, rear spoiler, front sport seats, and leather-wrapped steering wheel.

EX: The EX trim rides on 16-inch alloy wheels and includes several sporty features on top of technology upgrades. It sports a sunroof, ambient console lighting, USB input, and six-speaker sound system with steering-wheel-mounted audio controls. Rear seatback is 60/40-split-folding and includes a fold-down armrest.

EX-L: Adding onto the EX is the EX-L, which adds heat to front seats and exterior mirrors, plus leather upholstery.

Si: Driving enthusiast? Grab the Civic Si. While it comes with most features found on the EX, it boasts some sports appeal with items like sport-tuned suspension and a more powerful engine. Also included are 17-inch wheels, foglights, sport seats, and special interior trim.

GX and Hybrid: The GX and Hybrid models of the Civic mimic that of the LX and EX. The Hybrid also gains automatic climate control.

There are a handful of optional features you may find on the 2010 Civic, depending on the trim level. The Civic Si, EX, and EX-L may be equipped with a navigation system with Bluetooth phone connectivity and satellite radio. The Civic Hybrid may include heated leather seats.

Safety: Safety gear and crash scores are high for the 2010 Honda Civic. Standard equipment on all trims, include: front-seat side airbags, full-length side curtain airbags, active front head restraints, and antilock brakes. The EX-L, Hybrid, and Si also come standard with stability control.

The higher the safety scores the better and the 2010 Civic has them. In government crash tests, the Civic scored a perfect five stars in protection of occupants in frontal impacts. It scored four-out-of-five stars in side-impact protection of front passengers and five stars in side-impact protection of rear passengers. The IIHS was also pleased with the 2010 Civic, giving it the top score in frontal-offset and side-impact tests.
