Honda Pilot

The Honda Pilot, which made its debut in 2003 and is known for its roomy, family-friendly design. Now, it gets even better! 2016 brings a complete redesign to the Pilot, giving it a more traditional appearance and a few other improvements, too. The newest Pilot gets even more head- and legroom, increased storage, better visibility, and a more modern, refined feel. It also has additional acoustic materials to limit noise, making it an even more enjoyable ride.

The 2016 Honda Pilot offers several great trims, designed for all of your wants and needs. Check ‘em out!

LX: The base LX rides on 18-inch alloy wheels and provides the typical basics, like cruise control. But, it adds a few extras worth mentioning, such as: rear privacy glass, active noise cancellation, and rearview camera. The sound system comes with seven speakers and there is also Bluetooth phone and audio connectivity, an auxiliary audio jack, and a USB port.

EX: Stepping up to the EX trim means a much more lengthy list of standard features. It includes, automatic headlights, fog lights, LED running lights, heated mirrors, and keyless ignition and entry. For added safety, it has the Honda Lane Watch blind-spot camera and the Intelligent Traction Management system that adds a snow mode for front -drive models and a snow/sand/mud mode for those with all-wheel drive. The EX gets an eight-inch touchscreen interface and an upgraded seven-speaker sound system, too, that has two additional higher-powered USB ports, satellite radio, and Pandora Internet radio connectivity.

EX-L: The EX-L adds onto the lower EX trim with niceties like, sunroof, power liftgate, leather-wrapped steering wheel, and leather upholstery. Front seats are heated and rearview mirror is auto-dimming.

Touring: If you go for the upscale Touring, you’ll get some nice extras, like roof rails, driver memory settings, and 10-speaker sound system. It is also fitted with a nine-speed automatic transmission and automatic start/stop engine that helps increase fuel economy.

Elite: The Elite stands at the top of the Pilot line and includes, panoramic sunroof, LED headlights, automatic windshield wipers, and automatic high-beam headlight control. It adds some heat, too, with heated front seats, second-row captain chairs, and steering wheel. It also has a blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alerts, HD radio, and rides on 20-inch wheels.

If you’d like more safety features, Honda offers a Sensing package for the EX and EX-L trims. With this package you’ll get many systems, including: forward collision mitigation automatic braking, road departure intervention, and lane departure warning and intervention.
