Whether we realize it or not, we all take risks every day. Stepping behind the wheel of a car is one of them. When it comes to buying a car, it’s important to look at all of the safety equipment, features, and stats before making a decision. One car worth checking out is the 2015 Honda Accord that has plenty to offer, plus impeccable safety stats.

Standard safety equipment on all models of the 2015 Honda Accord include: antilock disc brakes, stability and traction control, active front head restraints, front-seat side airbags, and side curtain airbags. All models also have a rearview camera for added safety.

Included on upper trims is Honda’s Lane Watch blind-spot system that instantly switches the eight-inch screen display to a view of the car’s passenger side. A camera, located in the right-side mirror, provides better visibility for improved safety.

In safety tests, the 2015 Accord scores high. In government crash tests, the Accord received five-out-of-five stars in overall protection and side-impact safety; it got four stars in total frontal-impact safety.

The IIHS gave the 2015 Accord the highest possible rating of ôGood in all categories, including: moderate-overlap frontal offset, side-impact, and roof-strength tests, seat-and head-restraint design, and whiplash protection in rear impacts.

While safety of the Accord is top-notch, it also has several other aspects worth bragging about. The 2015 Accord comes in several trims with two engine options: a four-cylinder or 3.5-liter V6.

One model with plenty of bang is the EX-L with Navi. This model has all of the basics, from heated mirrors to power accessories, dual-zone automatic climate control, and keyless ignition and entry. It also has upscale items, like leather upholstery, driver-seat memory functions, four-way power passenger seat, and heated front seats. It also provides a premium seven-speaker sound system with six-inch touchscreen display, satellite radio, and smartphone app integration. Plus, navigation system with voice recognition.

The interior provides a high-quality look and feel with simple controls and eight-inch display with navigation system. Road and tire noise is minimal due to two active noise-cancellation systems and visibility is excellent because of the low belt-line, slim roof pillars, and generous amount of glass.

Space inside the cabin is another plus, allowing even those of tall height to enjoy plenty of leg- and shoulder room. The trunk adds even more space with its above-average measurement that tops out at 15.8-cubic-feet.
