Honda Accord

The Honda Accord is the Japanese manufacturer's best selling model in Washington, PA. Not only that, it has also consistently scored the top positions in various car surveys throughout North America, which makes it an excellent purchase for anyone looking for an all rounder mid-size sedan. If that's not enough to convince you, here are four more reasons why you should consider a used Honda Accord as your next vehicle.

Optimum Performance, Handling and Comfort

It's no secret that the mid-size sedan segment mainly focuses on comfort and features instead of performance or driving dynamics. The Accord, however, is an entirely different story. The sensitive handling of the Accord makes it one of the most entertaining cars to drive in, while the powerful V6 engine provides not only top notch performance, but also makes sure that fuel economy is retained. If you don't believe us, you may check out a used Honda Accord at any Honda dealership in Washington, including Washington Honda PA.

High Resale Value

Due to the huge popularity of the model, resale value is also quite high. While this does mean that you would be getting a used Honda Accord for a higher price than other competing sedans, it also means that you could sell your car for little to no loss after a few years. In fact, there have been times where a used Honda Accord's market value in Washington has exceeded the original amount it was bought for!

Abundance of Aftermarket Accessories and Spare Parts

The high sales volumes also mean that the Accord has a huge consumer base, which automatically means that there is an abundance of spare parts across various Honda dealerships in Washington. Not only that, but there are also plenty of aftermarket accessories available, which includes spoilers, body kits and even interior trimmings.

Thorough Checking and Inspection Done at Washington Honda

The best thing about buying a used Honda Accord from Washington Honda PA is that you know exactly what you'll be getting beforehand. We make sure all the used cars that come in our lot undergo a thorough checking, including inspection of the underpinning mechanics as well as the body.

Therefore, you can buy a used Honda Accord with complete peace of mind at Washington Honda, the most reputed of all Honda dealerships in Washington, PA.

Honda CR-V

Honda CR-V

Among the many crossover SUVs available at Honda dealerships in Washington, the Honda CR-V is one of the most popular. This is due to the family friendly image affixed with the CR-V. See, the CR-V was launched at a time when truck based SUVs were at the peak of their popularity. In fact, it can be credited as the model that shifted the focus from truck based designs to uni-body crossovers. The CR-V is nothing short of a comfortable, practical crossover, but we do feel it gets a lot of undeserved criticism. Therefore, we took a used 2013 Honda CR-V for an off road adventure across Washington, PA's hilly side.

Moderate Terrain

For starters, we drove the CR-V across some unpaved roads that were comprised of sand, gravel and other discontinuities. The SUV surprised us, as it handled quite well even at high speeds. The ride was a bit bumpy, but that can be expected given the firm car-like handling of the CR-V. One thing we did notice when crossing the gravel was that the CR-V did get its fair share of knocks, which can be attributed to the low ground clearance. However, the engine provided adequate power, still keeping its cool and not making any wild V6-like roars.

Extreme Terrain

Here comes the fun part; steep slopes, broken paths and even mud. We were a bit hesitant when going through the latter, since we expected that the used Honda CR-V will get stuck in the mud at some point in time. Once again, the Honda managed to surprise us, overcoming all odds and passing the muddy terrain without any major hiccups. The same cannot be said about the ascent through the hills though, as we did notice some lags and sluggishness from the 2.4 liter engine. Still, the CR-V made it to the top in one piece, which we didn't really expect when we first started the test.

Verdict

The Honda CR-V is certainly not the best off roader out there, nor can it be ranked among the excellent ones. Though it did hold its own on the tracks, we wouldn't recommend it as a primary off roader. However, that's not what the CR-V was designed for in the first place. If you wish to check a used Honda CR-V out for yourself, visit Washington Honda Pittsburgh.

Honda

What makes Honda Different?

Every automotive manufacturer has a distinct appeal or a trademark feature to ride upon on; KIA's are famous for their inexpensive ownership costs, Toyotas have world class reliability and Hyundaiàwell, we don't want to go there. But what is it about a used Honda that makes it different from any other manufacturer? As Washington Honda is one of the biggest Honda dealerships in Washington, we have had plenty of chances to test out used Honda Pilots, Civics, Ridgelines and pretty much anything else Honda has marketed in the region. The answer is not one, but in fact many reasons as to why a used Honda is better than any other brand on the market.

Extraordinary Interior Space

This is probably the most famous feature of the Japanese manufacturer; getting as much interior space as possible. A primary example of this is the Honda Fit, which is the smallest Honda model ever sold by Honda dealerships in Washington, PA. Though it sports minimalistic dimensions and being a hatchback, the rear legroom comes close to beating the Toyota Corolla, which is a compact sedan. This was done by implementing some innovative design modifications such as the rear suspension design which allowed the fuel tank to be fitted beneath the passenger seat.

Combining Driving Pleasure with Practicality

Here's something we recommend you do; take a test drive of a midsized Buick or Toyota Avalon, after which take a used Honda Accord out for a spin. You'll immediately notice how well the Honda Accord handles and performs as compared to the above. This is because Honda not only focused on practicality aspects such as fuel economy, but also made sure that the drive of the Honda Accord was involving and fast paced. It's no wonder why the Honda Accord has constantly been rated the top model across Honda dealerships in Washington.

The Best of Everything

Perhaps the best thing about owning a used Honda is that the manufacturer doesn't focus on just one factor such as performance or fuel economy. Rather, it aims to provide the best of everything. Take a used Honda Civic for instance; not only is the car compact and inexpensive, it also provides very good fuel economy, has the looks and can drive like a race car if you want it to.

Come on down to Washington Honda Pittsburgh and experience the Honda factor yourself!

Honda Fit

Honda Fit

The Fit is one of Honda's best selling models across North America, even beating the Civic and CR-V in terms of units sold. This may be due to the fact that it was introduced right around the turn of the millennium, when the gas crisis had started to effect prices as well. It may also be because the Fit is one of Honda's most practical models, which is saying something given the popularity that the Accord enjoys. No, it isn't a beast on the tracks of Washington, PA, nor is it a luxury cruiser. It is, however, something that every Washington resident needs, whether they would like to admit it or not.

Why a used Honda Fit May Serve As the Perfect Car?

Ever got stuck in your sedan during rush hour traffic and wishing you had a smaller car to navigate through the traffic? This is actually a very common scenario on the roads of Washington, where there are more cars than there are parking spots. What if someone told you that there was a car that had the interior room of your sedan but was almost twice as compact in terms of dimensions. That's exactly what the Honda Fit is, which achieved this incredible feat through many innovative design implementations such as the placement of the fuel tank beneath the passenger seat. So while the Fit may be dwarfed by pretty much anything else on the roads, it still sports a huge interior.

Fuel Economy

Gas prices are rising, with an expected increase of 200% within the next decade. Keeping that in mind, Honda designed the Fit to be as fuel efficient as possible, achieving one of the highest EPA ratings among all non-hybrid cars. Sure, you may wonder why you shouldn't go for a hybrid car altogether, and we"ve got the answer for that too. Hybrids are still in their infancy, as most of them cannot cross six digits on the mileage meter without a few hiccups. The low sales volumes of hybrids also make them a risky investment, since locating spare parts may become a nightmare. With the high sales volumes and consumer base of the Fit, you can be sure to save a couple hundred dollars just in servicing and repairs.

To end, the Honda Fit may not be the perfect car, but it is definitely something that every Washington resident needs for his daily commute. Come have a look at some used Honda Fit models at Washington Honda Pittsburgh.

Car Tips

Used Car Buying Tips

Buying a used Honda Civic, Accord or any other model in Washington, PA isn't as simple as it seems. You see, while a majority of used car sellers are honest, there are some that take advantage of a buyers gullibility and sell them an accidental car that requires thousands of dollars in repairs. Reverse mileages, overhauled engines and touchups are an unfortunate reality among Honda dealerships in Washington. However, at Washington Honda, we believe in complete honesty when dealing with our customers; here are three Minor things you can check to prevent yourself from fraud.

Key Hole

This is a secret technique used by experienced buyers to check whether the reading on the mileage meter is genuine or has been tempered with. Have you ever noticed how you may take multiple attempts to insert the key into the ignition, especially during the night? Well, what happens is that overtime, the missed attempts result in minor scratches around the keyhole. The more a car is used, the more the scratches around the key hole.

Startup Time

The startup time of a car can point to the condition of its engine. See, when a car is brand new, it takes around 2 seconds for the engine to start. Overtime, the startup motor get weak and the engine takes more time to startup. This is something that can also be seen in older cars, where multiple startup attempts are required to get the engine going. If the startup time takes more than 5 seconds, the engine may need overhauling, costing four digit figures in the process. It would be wise to avoid such an investment.

Dimming Lights

And finally, the intensity of the headlights can also be used to judge the battery's condition. As a car gets older, the battery loses its capacity and gets weaker. Fluctuation of the car's headlights or interior equipment is a sign of trouble. And while a battery may cost around $200, locating one that is compatible with an older out of production car can be a tedious process.

The next time you are buying a used car from a seller or Honda dealership in Washington, PA, make sure to check these three things. You may also buy directly from us at Washington Honda, where all of our used Honda models are thoroughly inspected before being placed on the lot.
